Job Summary

Responsible for managing the company’s purchasing activities, sourcing materials from suppliers, negotiating prices, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining proper purchase documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and other requirements.
- Collect quotations and compare prices, quality, and delivery terms.
- Negotiate with suppliers for the best price and commercial terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO) after obtaining the required approvals.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with stores, production, accounts, and other departments regarding material requirements.
- Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, and delivery documents.
- Maintain purchase records, supplier details, quotations, and order tracking.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely procurement to avoid production delays.




- Develop and maintain good relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Handle purchase-related documentation and MIS reports.
- Support vendor evaluation and supplier performance monitoring.
- Ensure purchases are made according to company policies and approved specifications.

Required Skills
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Purchase Orders, quotations, vendor management, and procurement processes.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to compare quotations and analyze costs.
- Good follow-up and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of GST, purchase invoices, and basic accounts is an advantage.

Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Any Degree / B.Com / BBA / Diploma in relevant field.
- Experience: 2–5 years in purchase/procurement, preferably in manufacturing or steel industry.

Preferred Experience: Candidates with experience in the Steel, Manufacturing, or Engineerin
