About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in Thermal Power Plants, Combined Cycle Power Plants, and Oil & Gas projects. The role involves detailed engineering, equipment specification, design calculations, technical bid evaluation, vendor document review, and technical support during project execution, quality inspections, and commissioning activities.
The ideal candidate should possess solid knowledge of Generator systems, Bus Ducts, GCB, Transformers, MV/LV Switchgear, UPS & DC Systems, VFDs, Motors, and Cable Systems, along with hands-on experience in electrical design tools and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical equipment specifications and technical datasheets.
- Perform electrical design and sizing calculations for power plant and industrial projects.
- Design and review power evacuation systems and electrical distribution networks.
- Conduct technical bid evaluation and vendor offer assessment.
- Review and approve vendor drawings, technical documents, and engineering deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for project execution.
- Provide technical support to procurement, quality, construction, and commissioning teams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering disciplines for project execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IEC, NEC, and NEMA standards.
- Support troubleshooting and technical issue resolution during project execution and commissioning.
- Review electrical layouts, cable schedules, single-line diagrams, and equipment arrangements.
