About the role

A UK-based accountancy practice is looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant in India to prepare accounts, VAT returns and bank reconciliations for our UK clients. This is a fully remote, part-time role with flexible hours, ideal for a CA who wants ongoing international experience alongside their existing commitments.

You will work directly with the UK team, so clear spoken and written English is essential.

What you'll be doing
- Preparing monthly VAT returns for UK clients using Excel
- Preparing year-end and management accounts
- Performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining and cleaning transaction data in Excel
- Liaising with the UK team on queries and deadlines

What we're looking for

Essential
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI)/ Or Semi qualified




- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in accounts preparation
- Strong Excel skills — pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data cleaning and formatting
- Confident spoken and written English; comfortable on video calls with UK colleagues
- Own laptop in good working order and a licensed copy of Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Accurate, deadline-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Desirable
- Prior experience preparing UK accounts or UK VAT returns
- Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks, Excel,
- Understanding of UK VAT rules and Making Tax Digital (MTD)
