Role Description:
The PhD Research Scholar in Integrated Photonics will conduct advanced research on photonic devices and systems, including design, modeling, fabrication, and characterization of integrated photonic components relevant to sensing, communication,
or signal processing. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing literature reviews, developing theoretical and numerical models, running simulations, conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and disseminating research through publications and conference presentations. The scholar will collaborate with faculty members, technical staff, and peers, assist in mentoring junior students, and contribute to project documentation and reporting. This is a full-time, in office role based at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, requiring regular presence in laboratories and research facilities on campus.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in photonics, optics, and electromagnetics, with knowledge of integrated photonic devices and waveguide theory.
