Job Description: Tableau Developer

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Tableau Developer with strong expertise in SQL, business requirement gathering, data visualization, and dashboard development. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver scalable, interactive, and insightful Tableau dashboards.

Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and reporting requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and Tableau dashboard solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.
- Develop data visualizations, calculated fields, parameters, filters, sets, and dashboard actions.
- Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
- Work with relational databases and integrate multiple data sources into Tableau.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy.




- Collaborate with business users to understand KPIs, metrics, and reporting needs.
- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, workshops, and discussions with stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot performance, data, and dashboard-related issues.
- Optimize Tableau workbooks, extracts, and SQL queries for better performance.
- Participate in testing, UAT, deployment, and post-production support.
- Maintain technical documentation, data definitions, dashboard specifications, and user guides.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and query optimization.
- Experience in business requirement gathering and stakeholder management.
- Solid understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design.
