Key Technical Skills:
- Design, develop and maintain LTE Layer 2(PDCP/RLC/MAC) stack.
- Design and optimize Uplink/Downlink scheduling algorithms (QoS aware, fairness, etc.)
- Optimization of Resource allocation block.
- Design, develop and optimization of HARQ process, Power control, SPS, TTI Bundling, Link Adaptation, CA, ENDC.
- Implement L2L1 interface handling via FAPI / nFAPI: encode/decode primitives, timing synchronization, error handling.
- Implement L2L3 (RRC) interface: configuration primitives, bearer setup/release, re-establishment procedures.
- Read and translate 3GPP LTE Release 817 specifications directly into code, handling edge cases and error conditions.
- Write and maintain unit tests with high code coverage for each developed module.
- Debug L2 protocol issues independently — analyze PCAP captures, L2 traces, and scheduler logs to isolate root causes
- Should be able to prepare LLD, HLD and Interface specifications
- Expert in C/C++
- Robust experience in Linux-based development with IPC and multi-threading
