Role & responsibilities

Financial Accounting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
- Record and reconcile bank transactions, journal entries, and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee depreciation.

Student Fee Management
- Manage fee collections, concessions, refunds, and receivables.
- Reconcile collections from online payment gateways, banks, POS machines, and cash.
- Monitor outstanding fees and prepare collection reports.

Accounts Payable & Payroll
- Verify vendor invoices and process payments within approved timelines.
- Process monthly payroll and ensure accurate statutory deductions.
- Coordinate salary revisions, reimbursements, and employee settlements.

Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure timely compliance with TDS, PF, ESI, Skilled Tax, GST (where applicable), and other statutory requirements.
- Support statutory and internal audits by maintaining complete financial records.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, budgets, and variance analyses for management.

School Operations




- Work closely with Admissions, HR, Administration, and Procurement teams.
- Support budgeting for school events, transport, and capital expenditure.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls and operational efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile
- B.Com is mandatory; M.Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 5-10 years of accounting experience; work experience in a school or educational institution is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting practices, taxation, payroll, and statutory compliance.

Skills
- Proficiency in Tally Prime, Focus ERP, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Experience
- Experience with school ERP systems and student fee accounting.
