Role & responsibilities
- Collect blood samples safely from patients.
- Verify patient identity and test details.
- Label and transport samples correctly.
- Follow proper infection control and safety procedures.
- Handle blood collection tubes and equipment properly.
- Maintain accurate sample collection records.
- Coordinate with the laboratory for timely sample processing.
- Handle difficult/paediatric blood collections carefully.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper disposal of biomedical waste.
