Design Engineer – UG NX

Job Purpose

Responsible for developing and modifying engineering designs, 3D models, and manufacturing drawings using Siemens NX (UG NX) while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, design standards, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using UG NX.
- Develop new product designs based on customer requirements and engineering specifications.
- Prepare detailed drawings with dimensions, tolerances, GD&T;, surface finish, and material specifications.
- Review customer drawings and identify design requirements, critical dimensions, and manufacturing constraints.
- Support NPD, prototype, and production development activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, and NPD teams for design-related issues.
- Make design modifications based on manufacturing feedback and engineering changes.
- Maintain proper control of drawing revisions, BOMs, and design documentation.




- Perform basic design calculations and ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing and assembly.
- Support root cause analysis and implement design improvements when required.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable company and customer standards.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to manufacturing and quality teams.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Siemens NX / UG NX.
- Strong knowledge of 3D modeling, assembly, and drafting.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, engineering drawings, tolerances, and fits.
- Understanding of machining and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of BOM preparation and drawing revision control.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and technical requirements.
- Positive problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualification

BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical product design, preferably in CNC machining, precision components,
