Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language lessons for classes VI‑X in line with the school’s curriculum and CBSE guidelines.
- Foster a love for literature, reading, and writing through interactive activities, debates, dramatics, and project‑based learning.
- Assess student performance regularly using formative and summative evaluations; maintain accurate records of grades and progress.
- Provide individualized support and remedial instruction to students who require additional assistance.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, department heads, and senior leadership to integrate cross‑disciplinary initiatives.
- Participate actively in co‑curricular and extracurricular programs such as literary clubs, debates, dramatics, and inter‑school competitions.
- Maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and respectful dialogue.
- Contribute to school development programmes, parent‑teacher meetings, and continuous career development workshops.

Essential Qualifications




- Graduate degree (B.A.) in English or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Teacher Training Certificate (B.Ed. or D.El.Ed.) recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
- Professional teaching license (if applicable) as per State Education Department norms.
- Strong command over English language—both written and spoken.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

Desired Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably in CBSE schools.
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate innovative pedagogical methods, digital tools, and experiential learning.
- Experience in organizing and judging literary, debate, or dramatics events is a plus.
- Track record of improving student academic performance and fostering a love for literature.
