Purchase Manager Ayurveda Manufacturing
Company: Maharishi Ayurveda Products Pvt. Ltd.
Location: Noida Special Economic Zone, Phase-II, Noida
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of Ayurvedic herbs, raw materials, extracts, oils, excipients, and active ingredients.
- Procure primary/secondary packaging materials, consumables, and engineering items.
- Identify, develop, and manage approved and reliable vendors.
- Obtain quotations and negotiate price, quality, delivery, MOQ, and payment terms.
- Prepare, release, and monitor Purchase Orders (POs).
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, QA/QC, Stores, Finance, R&D;, and Engineering.
- Monitor vendor performance, delivery schedules, quality issues, and complaints.
- Drive cost reduction, price benchmarking, and procurement savings.
- Maintain optimum inventory and minimize stock-outs and emergency purchases.
- Ensure procurement compliance with GMP, SOPs, quality standards, and company policies.




- Maintain vendor records, purchase documentation, MIS, and procurement reports.
- Develop alternate sources for critical and high-value materials.
- Lead, guide, and monitor the Purchase/Procurement team.
- Support vendor qualification, audits, and periodic vendor evaluation.
- Ensure continuous improvement in procurement cost, quality, delivery, and efficiency.

Qualification & Experience
- Graduate in Pharmacy, Commerce, Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Procurement/Supply Chain/Operations preferred.
- 58 years of relevant experience, preferably in Ayurvedic/Pharma/Herbal Manufacturing.
