As the Team Lead for the Dual Sourcing Team (RM & BOI), you will lead and drive sourcing strategies for raw materials and components to ensure cost competitiveness, quality assurance, and supply continuity. You will be responsible for identifying alternative suppliers, expanding the supply base, and implementing multi-source strategies across components. Your role requires cross-functional leadership, strategic thinking, and robust execution capabilities to manage sourcing risks, reduce dependency on single suppliers, and align with business growth objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Strategic Sourcing Leadership:
Lead dual sourcing initiatives for RM & BOI to support business continuity and risk mitigation.
· Alternative Supplier Identification:
Continuously identify and qualify alternate suppliers globally and locally to build a resilient supply base for critical components and materials.
· Multi-source Expansion:
Drive the development of multiple approved sources per component to avoid single-point failure and improve commercial leverage.
· Team Leadership & Coordination:
Manage and mentor procurement engineers; ensure alignment with procurement strategies, sourcing plans, and cross-functional project timelines.
· Supplier Development & Evaluation:
Oversee supplier audits, technical evaluations, and onboarding processes to ensure compliance with technical, quality, and capacity requirements.
· Cost Competitiveness & Benchmarking:
Lead cost benchmarking and VAVE activities in coordination with engineering and design teams. Drive supplier negotiations for best value.
· Risk & Contingency Planning:
Develop and implement sourcing risk mitigation strategies including buffer sourcing, dual vendor setups, and geographic diversification.
