PCB Design Engineer

Job Description

QUATEK Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a PCB Design Engineer with hands-on experience in PCB schematic and layout design. The candidate will be responsible for developing PCB designs from schematic to manufacturing-ready files and coordinating with engineering and production teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PCB layouts based on circuit schematics and engineering requirements.
- Perform component placement, routing, layer management, and design optimization.
- Work on single-layer, double-layer, and multilayer PCB designs.
- Generate and verify Gerber, NC Drill, ODB++ and other manufacturing files.
- Perform Design Rule Check (DRC) and ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements.
- Prepare PCB fabrication drawings and design documentation.
- Review PCB layouts for Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and production feasibility.
- Understand PCB stack-up, track width, spacing, vias, clearances, impedance and other PCB design parameters.
- Modify and optimize existing PCB designs as per project requirements.




- Coordinate with PCB fabrication, assembly, testing and production teams.
- Identify and resolve PCB design and manufacturing-related issues.
- Maintain design files, revisions, BOMs and other technical documentation.
- Follow applicable IPC standards and company design guidelines.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of PCB schematic and layout design.
- Hands-on experience in Cadence OrCAD / Allegro or similar PCB design software.
- Knowledge of Altium Designer, PADS, KiCad or other PCB design tools will also be considered.
- Good understanding of electronic components and circuit schematics.
- Knowledge of multilayer PCB design and PCB fabrication processes.
- Experience in generating and checking Gerber and NC Drill files.
- Knowledge of DRC, DFM and PCB manufacturing requirements.
