Job Description
Angadiya Dining Restaurant is looking for a hardworking, disciplined and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our professional kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, willingness to learn, and the ability to maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen discipline.
The Commis Chef will assist senior chefs in daily food preparation and ensure that all ingredients and kitchen stations are properly organized and ready for service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with daily food preparation and cooking.
- Perform cutting, chopping, peeling, marination and other basic preparation work.
- Prepare ingredients according to standard recipes and instructions.
- Maintain proper mise en place before and during service.
- Assist in preparing Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations,
utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Store ingredients properly and check food quality.
- Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours.
- Follow instructions from Sous Chef, Chef de Partie and Head Chef.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality and professional kitchen behavior.
Skills & Requirements
- Basic knowledge of cooking and kitchen operations.
- Hospitality/Hotel Management qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Freshers with good cooking skills and willingness to learn can apply.
- Previous restaurant or hotel kitchen experience will be an advantage.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong focus on cleanliness, hygiene and food quality.
