Interface Integration Engineer (Healthcare IT)

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Interface Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain healthcare data integrations. The ideal candidate will have handson experience with HL7 v2.x, FHIR standards, and Google Healthcare API, ensuring seamless interoperability between clinical systems and external platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support healthcare interfaces using HL7, FHIR, and Google Healthcare API.
- Develop and maintain integration workflows in interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect).
- Troubleshoot and resolve interface issues, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into integration solutions.
- Monitor interface performance and optimize for scalability and efficiency.
- Document integration processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards, HIPAA, and security best practices.





Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of HL7 v2.x messaging (ADT, ORU, SIU, etc.).
- Experience with FHIR resources (Patient, Observation, DocumentReference, etc.).
- Handson expertise with Google Healthcare API for data ingestion and retrieval.
- Proficiency with interface engines.
- Solid understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and workflows.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and data transformation.
- Solid problemsolving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS).
- Knowledge of healthcare EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, etc.).
- Background in SQL and database integration.
- Exposure to HIPAA compliance and healthcare security standards.
