Job Title : Assistant Manager

Reporting To : Production Head
Total Compensation : 5 7 Lac annually

Job Purpose:
To ensure effective and timely manufacturing of V-Belts by supervising shop-floor operations, optimizing resources, maintaining product quality, and achieving production targets in coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Execution
- Execute production plans in line with daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Coordinate with the planning team to ensure availability of materials and resources.
- Ensure on-time completion of production schedules.

2. Shop-Floor Management
- Supervise day-to-day shop-floor activities for V-Belt manufacturing.
- Monitor critical processes such as mixing, calendaring, building, curing, and finishing.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

3. Manpower Handling
- Manage and allocate manpower effectively across production lines.




- Monitor operator performance and ensure discipline on the shop floor.
- Identify training needs and support skill development of workforce.

4. Quality Assurance
- Ensure products meet defined quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to address in-process and final inspection issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality improvement.

5. Process Optimization & Efficiency Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
- Drive initiatives for improving machine utilization and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Implement continuous improvement practices (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, etc.).

6. Machine & Resource Utilization
- Ensure optimal utilization of machines, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance team to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and improve line efficiency and capacity utilization.
