Role Overview:
The role of Operations Excellence Department (OED) is to be a key leader in driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency across our jewellery manufacturing facility in Mumbai. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to optimize production processes, enhance quality, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance. The ideal candidate/s will be a data-driven problem-solver with a robust background in manufacturing, process improvement methodologies, and a passion for excellence. OED will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, supply chain, and engineering, to foster a culture of continuous improvement and achieve world-class operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Operational Excellence Strategies:
Assess current operational processes and identify areas for improvement using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Value Stream Mapping.
Develop a comprehensive operations excellence roadmap with clear objectives, timelines, and measurable targets aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility.
Drive Process Optimization and Efficiency:
Analyse production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Establish standardized work processes, best practices, and process documentation (SOPs) to ensure consistency and repeatability.
Implement and manage visual management systems and performance dashboards to track progress and identify areas for intervention.
Enhance Quality and Reduce Defects:
Collaborate with the Quality Control department to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Implement statistical process control (SPC) and other quality management tools to monitor
