Role & responsibilities

1 Conducting regular rounds in hospital departments for discussing, monitoring and following the practices of infection control with staff people.

2 Collecting data on infections from hospital departments and maintaining records for every case.

3 Conducting training sessions to ensure constant implementation of infection control practices.

4 Following and investigating the incidents of hospital infections, generating reports and reporting them to Medical Superintendent.

5 Conducting continuous surveillance for detecting the infection source for the purpose of prevention.

6 Ensuring the availability of supplies and place needed for isolation.

7 Implementing educational programs for the provision of skill & knowledge regarding infection preventive measures and control practices to ensure a safe setting or surroundings to Patients, Visitors & Staff.

8 Monitoring the execution of preventive measures and providing guidance to staff.

9 Participating in unit meetings,



in-service education programs and quality improvement initiatives as assigned.

10 Participation in infection control team meetings and assisting in their organization.

11 Reporting infection outbreaks directly to the Medical Superintendent.

12 Preparing monthly statistical information for presentations in infection control meetings.

13 Reporting any interference for the implementation of infection control practices.

14 Make sure that staff is free from any infectious disease.

Preferred candidate profile:
- Experience: 28 years of relevant experience in OT, Cath Lab, Emergency, LTU (Liver Transplant Unit), or CCU.
- Hospital Experience: Candidates must have experience working in NABH-accredited hospitals with a minimum bed strength of 100 beds.
- Registration: Valid Delhi Nursing Council (DNC) registration is mandatory.
