An APM/Dynatrace Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the Dynatrace Application Performance Monitoring (APM) platform within an organization. This role ensures optimal monitoring, performance, and availability of applications, systems, and infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Platform Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain the APM/Dynatrace platform, including updates and patches
- Manage Dynatrace agents and ensure proper deployment across applications and infrastructure
- Optimize and fine-tune the Dynatrace workplace for performance and scalability
- JMeter Tool Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Apache JMeter and related plugins
- Optimize JMeter tool settings for large-scale performance testing
- Manage JMeter updates, patches, and add-ons to ensure compatibility and performance
- Scripting Troubleshooting:
- Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using JMeter for applications, APIs, and systems
- Configure test plans to simulate load, stress, endurance, and scalability scenarios
- Integrate JMeter with other tools like Jenkins, Grafana, or Influx DB for CI/CD pipelines and real-time monitoring
- Write and debug JMeter test scripts for various protocols (HTTP, WebSocket, FTP, etc.)
- Resolve technical issues related to JMeter execution or configuration
- Implement various use cases of AI Automation
