Role Description
This is a full time, on-site role for an Agroforestry & Plantation Specialist based in Delhi. The Specialist will lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of agroforestry and plantation projects. Key responsibilities include developing sustainable plantation strategies, conducting feasibility assessments,
managing on-the-ground operations, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure project success. The role also requires preparing technical reports, managing budgets/resources, and maintaining coordination with local communities and regulatory bodies.
Qualification:
• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Agroforestry, Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Science, or related field.
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale plantation and ecological restoration projects.
• Experience in afforestation, compensatory afforestation, Miyawaki plantations, urban forestry, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, execute, and monitor plantation projects.
• Select suitable native species and source quality saplings.
• Manage nurseries, vendors, and plantation contractors.
• Conduct site assessments, survival monitoring, and reporting.
