Role & responsibilities
- Perform hands-on teardown and systematic disassembly of automotive components, primarily two-wheeler components such as headlamp assemblies, instrument clusters, wire harnesses, mufflers and related sub-assemblies.
- Follow a structured teardown methodology and document the complete assembly structure, part sequence, joining methods, fasteners and interfaces.
- Identify and document individual components, including part description, function, material, dimensions, quantity and manufacturing process wherever possible.
- Carry out physical measurements and dimensional checks using Vernier calipers, micrometers and other basic measuring instruments.
- Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs) and maintain accurate component-level teardown data in Excel.
- Capture and organise photographs of components and teardown stages and prepare technical teardown reports.
- Support automotive component benchmarking and comparative analysis across different models/OEMs.
- Identify likely manufacturing processes,



materials and assembly methods used for individual components.
- Support cost estimation and cost-driver analysis based on material, manufacturing process, component complexity and assembly requirements.
- Prepare basic sketches and, where required, develop 2D/3D CAD models of components based on physical measurements.
- Assist the engineering team in identifying opportunities for design optimisation, part consolidation, material optimisation, manufacturing improvement and cost reduction.
- Maintain accurate and well-structured records of measurements, BOMs, photographs, observations and analysis.

Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates and final-year students with a robust interest in automotive engineering are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interest in automotive products, component design, manufacturing
