Job Description – Assistant Project Manager (Construction)

Job Summary

The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and executing construction projects from start to completion. The role involves coordinating site teams, contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal departments to ensure projects are completed safely, within budget, on schedule, and according to approved quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and managing day-to-day project activities.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Architects, Consultants, Contractors, and Subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress against the approved schedule and report delays or issues.
- Assist in preparing project schedules, work plans, material requirements, and manpower requirements.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings,



specifications, and quality standards.
- Review project drawings, BOQs, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Track material usage, labour deployment, and site productivity.
- Assist in monitoring project costs, variations, and additional works.
- Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on pending works.
- Identify site issues and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
- Maintain proper project documentation, reports, work progress records, and meeting minutes.
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Coordinate project meetings and follow up on action points.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and construction safety requirements.
