Ø Get the general cleaning of CSSD and CSSD equipments done early in the morning / when the department opens.
Ø Does inspection (DI) of all the CSSD equipments for serviceability check.
Ø Change the chemical of ultrasonic equipment and get the machine ready for use.
Ø Checks the disinfector chemical, if required fills it and keeps it ready.
Ø Check all the registers / forms used in CSSD and keep in order to use.
Ø To maintain sufficient sterile dressing materials and linen packs in sterile zone stock.
Ø To sterilize all required routine/urgent instruments/sets and provide to user departments and keep in mind users’ comforts/requirements on top.
Urgent sterilization work to be done on priority and informed to users when it is sterilized for collection/send through dumbwaiter and inform.
Ø To indent required dressing materials/instruments from store, maintain sufficient stock and proper record keeping.
Ø Proper counting of instrument while receiving its serviceability check/disinfection/washing/drying/ assembling of instruments/sets preparation/proper labeling/putting integrator inside the pack/label above the pack/sterilizing/issuing.
Proper documentation while receiving/issuing instruments/sets, sterilizing.
