Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day cutting operations and cutting team.
- Read and understand patterns, size sets, and cutting requirements.
- Plan markers and ensure optimum fabric utilization.
- Check fabric quality, width, shrinkage, shade and defects before cutting.
- Ensure accurate cutting according to approved patterns and specifications.
- Minimize fabric wastage and maintain cutting efficiency.
- Coordinate with the production, sampling, pattern and merchandising teams.
- Maintain cutting records, bundle details and production reports.
- Ensure proper numbering, bundling and identification of cut panels.
- Monitor cutting quality and resolve cutting-related issues.
- Train and supervise cutting helpers and operators.
- Follow production schedules and meet daily cutting targets.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cutting Master in garment/hosiery/uniform manufacturing.
- Robust knowledge of fabric cutting, marker planning and fabric consumption.
- Experience with woven and/or knitted fabrics will be preferred.
- Good understanding of garment patterns, measurements and sizes.
- Ability to manage a cutting team independently.
- Good knowledge of fabric utilization and wastage control.
- Responsible, disciplined and quality-conscious.
- Candidates from Ludhiana's garment/hosiery industry will be preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
