Career Category Finance Amgen is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Associate - US Direct - Federal Tax to join our Hyderabad Innovations Facility part of Amgen s energetic Global Capability Center GCC network This role is essential in supporting a global biopharmaceutical organization and is focused on U S Federal Direct tax compliance and provision activities The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in U S Federal tax regulations and reporting including the preparation and review of complex Federal corporate income tax returns and supporting provision calculations under ASC 740 This role will also support broader U S tax compliance initiatives such as state tax filings Country-by-Country Reporting CbCR business licensing and annual reporting obligations An understanding of emerging U S tax law developments relevant to the biotechnology sector is expected This position reports directly to the Senior Tax Manager based in Hyderabad and collaborates closely with the U S -based Tax Manager and Senior Managers to ensure accurate timely and compliant tax operations in alignment with Amgen s global financial objectives Roles Responsibilities The Senior Associate - US Federal Direct Tax will be responsible for several activities including but not limited to the following Federal Tax Compliance Provision Primary Focus Preparation and self-review of U S Federal corporate income tax returns Form 1120 ensuring full compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and company policies Calculate quarterly estimated Federal income tax payments based on current year projections and ensure timely submission in accordance with IRS guidelines Assist with quarterly and annual U S tax provision calculations under ASC 740 including deferred tax calculations Maintain detailed tax workpapers in line with standard operating business processes and procedures Prepare global tax account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Recommend and help implement automation opportunities an
