Key Responsibilities DCS System Operation and Management Supervise the operation and monitoring of the DCS systems that control the continuous polymerization process Ensure real-time control of key process variables e g temperature pressure flow rates chemical feedstock to maintain optimal polymerization conditions Troubleshoot DCS issues control loops and field instrumentation to maintain process stability and minimize downtime Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to address DCS-related failures and implement necessary upgrades or improvements Team Leadership and Supervision Lead and manage a team of control room operators ensuring effective coordination for safe and productive operations Provide ongoing training guidance and mentorship to control room staff on DCS operations safety standards and process optimization techniques Oversee shift schedules ensuring proper staffing and smooth transition between shifts for uninterrupted plant operation Ensure operators adhere to operating procedures SOPs and maintain high safety and environmental standards Process Control and Optimization Monitor and adjust process parameters in real-time to ensure consistent polymer quality and yield Identify opportunities for process optimization and work with the engineering team to implement control strategies that improve throughput reduce energy consumption and minimize waste Work with process engineers to fine-tune control strategies and introduce improvements to DCS configurations Troubleshooting and Problem Solving Identify and resolve issues related to DCS hardware software and control systems in real time Diagnose and correct issues in the continuous polymerization process related to feedstock quality polymerization conditions and reactor performance Work with engineering to implement corrective actions improvements or updates to control strategies or DCS settings Collaboration and Communication Act as the main point of contact between control room operators proce
