Summary The Lead Engineer in the Compressor Rotors team will lead the activities contributing to the design and development of products solutions and systems related to New products in Compressor Rotor components Leading activities linked to technical improvement of new and existing product components and skillset development within the team In this role the Lead engineer is expected to be engaged in New design and product development Product cost out and design robustness improvement programs This role involves mechanical design and component ownership of Compressor Rotors components Project scope includes NPIs services programs Product Cost-Out supply chain activities for new designs Execute the design analysis or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards practices procedures and product program requirements Establish personal RCA program schedule to deliver engineering definition and analysis Conduct technical reviews for design tasks with Controlled Title Holders CTHs following the documented NPI and RCA processes Evaluate and mitigate component system level risks Be a champion for Lean and continuous improvement Develop standard work and identify creative ways to improve our processes and design methods Maintain solid relationships with Fleet and DLE teams Keep abreast of ongoing field and manufacturing issues Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy strategy Basic knowledge of related job disciplines Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market Must exercise independent judgment to develop creative solutions for complex daily challenges including those beyond standard procedures Required skills include the ability to prioritize data for analysis apply technical expertise and analytical thinking and collaborate across internal teams with occasional e
