Role Description
The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time remote role responsible for organizing and supporting the hospital’s volunteer programs. This position oversees the volunteer lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing engagement. Day-to-day activities include coordinating virtual meetings with volunteers, providing training and guidance, and ensuring volunteers clearly understand their responsibilities and hospital policies. The coordinator will collaborate with hospital departments to identify volunteer needs, align roles with program objectives, and maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and activities. The role also involves planning outreach initiatives to attract current volunteers, addressing volunteer inquiries, and preparing regular reports on program impact and participation.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training to effectively recruit, onboard, and guide volunteers.




- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build trust, provide clear instructions, and resolve issues with volunteers and staff.
- Candidates should possess experience in Community Outreach to promote volunteer opportunities and strengthen relationships with local organizations and networks.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple volunteer schedules and initiatives remotely.
- Comfort with using digital tools and online platforms for communication, training, documentation, and reporting.
- Prior experience coordinating volunteers or working in healthcare, non-profit, or community service environments is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
