Job Summary

We are looking for a
Team Lead (Java / Node.js)
to join our growing engineering hub. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, combining software development, architecture, delivery ownership, and team mentoring.

You will work closely with engineering teams across different locations to build reliable, scalable backend systems and drive strong engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of
microservices and backend systems
.
- Make and defend architectural decisions around
data models, APIs, and service boundaries
.
- Set coding standards and lead
code reviews / PR practices
.
- Act as the technical point of contact in cross-team engineering discussions.
- Remain
hands-on with coding
and contribute to technical solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers through feedback and pairing.
- Participate in
technical interviews and hiring
.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Own sprint delivery: planning, estimation, risk identification, and team unblocking.




- Drive engineering quality across
testing, CI/CD, observability, and production releases
.
- Monitor and improve engineering delivery metrics such as
DORA metrics
.
- Work closely with QA to embed quality throughout the development process.
- Translate technical constraints and risks into clear business language.
- Identify technical debt and build plans to improve product velocity and client experience.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
, with 1–2+ years in a Tech Lead / Senior Engineer capacity.
- Solid hands-on experience with
Java or Node.js
, backend development, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- For Java: strong knowledge of
Java 11+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
.
- Strong understanding of
relational databases
such as PostgreSQL/MySQL, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing
