Patient Relations Officer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Welcome and assist patients and their attendants throughout their hospital visit. Handle patient queries related to appointments, admissions, billing, diagnostics, pharmacy, and other hospital services. Coordinate with doctors, nursing, billing, pharmacy, diagnostics, and other departments to resolve patient concerns. Attend to patient complaints and grievances and ensure timely resolution. Follow up on unresolved issues and provide appropriate updates to patients and attendants. Collect patient feedback and identify areas for improving patient experience. Assist patients with navigation and coordination within the hospital. Support VIP and special-category patients as required. Explain hospital procedures, facilities, and services clearly to patients and attendants. Maintain proper records of patient complaints, feedback, and resolutions. Escalate critical or sensitive complaints to the concerned authority promptly.



Maintain professional communication and confidentiality of patient information. Support patient satisfaction surveys and service-quality initiatives. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and patient safety practices. Participate in patient experience and quality improvement activities. Qualifications & Experience Any Bachelor's Degree; Hospital Management / Healthcare Administration preferred. 1–3 years of experience in patient relations, hospital front office, customer service, or healthcare administration. Experience in a multispecialty/tertiary care hospital is preferred. Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Robust patient-handling and customer-service skills. Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Empathetic and patient-focused approach. Good coordination and follow-up skills. Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office/HIS.
