Role Description
Network Operations Engineer
We are looking for a skilled Network Operations Engineer with hands-on experience in both Azure Cloud Networking and On-Premises Network Infrastructure. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing L2/L3 operational support, incident troubleshooting, monitoring, change implementation, and ensuring high availability of network services across cloud and hybrid environments.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Azure networking, enterprise routing and switching, firewall technologies, network monitoring, and ITSM processes while working effectively in a 24x7 operational workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Azure Network Operations
Provide L2/L3 support for Azure networking services including:
Virtual Networks (VNets)
Subnets
Network Security Groups (NSGs)
Route Tables (UDRs)
VPN Gateway
ExpressRoute
Azure Firewall
Load Balancer
Application Gateway
Private Endpoints
Azure DNS
Azure Network Watcher
On-Premises Network Support
Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including:
Cisco Routing & Switching
Check Point Firewalls
Palo Alto Networks Firewalls
Netskope
Cisco Meraki
Citrix ADC / NetScaler
Incident & Problem Management
Troubleshoot cloud, hybrid, and on-premises network connectivity issues.
Perform incident triage and resolution for critical P1/P2 incidents.
Participate in major incident bridges and contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Restore services within SLA timelines.
Change & Operations Management
Execute approved network changes including:
Firewall policy updates
Routing modifications
VPN changes
DNS updates
Certificate renewals
Device upgrades
Configuration backups
Monitoring & Documentation
Monitor network health, performance, availability, and capacity.
Identify recurring issues and recommend proactive improvements.
Maintain SOPs, Runbooks, Network Diagrams, Knowledge Base Articles, and Shift Handover Documents.
