Position: Non lighting – Designer (TT39ST RM 4311)
Roles Overview
- To develop mechanical design article
- To verify mechanical design article (simulations, tolerance calculations, etc.)
- To perform involvement and definition meeting
- To perform Mechanical Design-Requirements
- To define/plan Mechanical Design verification sample
- To evaluate design verification results from the sample creation
- To provide data for the evaluation
- To define dimensional requirements for the single parts
- To consider the general technical rules

Lighting background

Designer
- Designing parts and sub-assemblies following DFM/DFA principles, including datum system (RPS) definition and tolerance validation
- Handling design topics independently (and with lead designer when required): styling integration, A-surface freeze, lens parting lines, B-surfaces (bezel, reflector),



and managing surface defects (sink marks, weld lines, etc.)
- Generating 2D drawings for enquiry, design verification, and validation

Senior Designer will be responsible for: (Designer role + Below topics)
- Developing and verifying mechanical design through simulations, tolerance stack-up calculations, and feasibility studies
- Component qualification and evaluation of mechanical design requirements
- Creating mechanical performance specifications and defining dimensional requirements for parts, sub-assemblies, and complete products
- Conducting drawing reviews with stakeholders using functional dimensioning
- Implementing RPS, tolerances, LED functional integration, and wire harness routing for accurate assembly
