Company Description The Open Room is an architecture studio that integrates design practice with educational technology to build both physical spaces and learning ecosystems. As one of the first studios to merge architectural practice with edtech, it challenges traditional boundaries between studio and classroom. Role Description The Faculty Member will teach architecture and design-related subjects, develop and deliver studio-based and theoretical courses, and guide learners through project work and critiques. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, designing learning materials, assessing student work, and providing constructive feedback aligned with The Open Room’s practice-driven approach.



The role involves collaborating with other faculty and practitioners on curriculum development, integrating digital tools and immersive platforms into teaching, and supporting learners in building strong portfolios and skilled skills. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, requiring regular presence in the studio and classroom environment.

Qualifications
Strong foundation in architecture or design, with the ability to teach studio courses, design theory, and applied practice.
Experience in curriculum planning, lesson design, and assessment, with an interest in innovative and project-based pedagogy.
Ability to integrate digital tools, online platforms, or edtech solutions into studio and classroom teaching.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to support diverse learners and encourage critical thinking.
