About This Role

A senior accounting operations role for a finance professional with deep insurance and/or retirement accounting expertise. You will lead a team of consultants and specialists, manage regulatory compliance obligations (NAIC, SEC, ERISA), and support internal and external audit processes in a complex enterprise setting.

What You Will Do

Lead retirement accounting oversight, manage contribution tracking, benefit disbursement reconciliation, and audit-ready financial records
Oversee insurance accounting operations ensuring accurate documentation and timely execution per NAIC, SEC, and applicable regulations
Implement and monitor internal controls across insurance and retirement workflows, identify and escalate anomalies
Optimise operational workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across both functions
Manage a team of consultants and specialists, coaching, guidance, and performance oversight
Support internal and external audits with accurate records and full compliance documentation
Ensure alignment with enterprise risk management frameworks





What You Need to Succeed

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, or related field
8–12 years of experience in insurance and/or retirement accounting
Preferably within HR or employee benefits contexts
Experience managing teams and coordinating with third-party providers
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and audit requirements for employee benefits
Strong understanding of US GAAP, NAIC, and SEC regulatory requirements
Excellent communication skills across internal and external stakeholders

What Will Give You an Edge

Advanced certifications: CPA, FLMI, or CPCU strongly preferred
Experience with Workday, SAP, or Oracle Financial modules
