Overview
Atlassian's Connector Platform organization powers how third-party data and applications connect into our products. We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer to help lead the team that owns the front door for all third-party traffic entering the platform: request admission, authentication, connector lifecycle, and the developer SDK that takes a third-party integration from spec to production. You'll help drive down the time it takes to bring a new integration to production, while raising the bar on reliability and security for a system that sits on the public edge of our platform.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Set technical direction across a system spanning API gateway, developer SDK/tooling, authentication, and integration lifecycle management.




Own architecture decisions for a declarative SDK and compiler/codegen pipeline that lets partners build integrations with less custom code.
Drive design of a common gateway for authentication and request admission across all third-party integrations, decoupling platform scaling from product release cycles.
Partner with adjacent engineering teams to keep shared identity and tenancy contracts reliable as usage grows.
Mentor engineers across multiple projects and raise the bar on architecture and code review.
Represent your team in cross-organization architecture and technical tradeoff discussions.
