The Role

Mainframe Batch & Console Operations Lead at Kyndryl are key in helping revolutionize the way we operate complex computer systems. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, supervise and control intricate networks and applications, and operate distributed systems in a multi-vendor setting.

As a Computer Operator you will be on the technical frontline – performing batch operations as per service agreements, analyzing first-level issues across systems, and resolving/routing issues as appropriate.



You will also have the opportunity to develop support system management processes specific to customer requirements, ensuring that we provide the highest level of service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor system consoles, WTORs, SYSLOG, and alerts
- Execute MVS/JES2 commands for system and job control
- Monitor and manage batch cycles using Zeke / OPC (job flows, dependencies, calendars)
- Perform job actions: submit, hold, release, cancel, restart
- Monitor batch delays, long-running jobs, and SLA-critical workloads
- Execute basic JCL overrides and ad-hoc job scheduling
- Provide L3 support for job abends and system issues
- Perform spool management and subsystem start/stop activities
- Follow escalation procedures for incidents and coordinate with L2/L3 teams
