What's the role?
We’re looking for a Manager – Transportation to define and drive the transport strategy and operations across Hilti India. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional customer experience while managing cost efficiencies and building long-term sustainable transport capabilities.
What does the role involve?
• Lead and develop the transportation team for continued excellence in day-to-day transportation operations
• Define and implement a strategic roadmap for forward and reverse transportation to drive service levels and productivity.
• Design, monitor, and improve transport performance for customer deliveries, distribution centers, returns, and repairs (AMS).
• Ensure freight tendering, market analysis, and proactive response to transportation trends.
• Develop robust MIS and reporting systems, including proactive track & trace capabilities.
• Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews with carriers and internal stakeholders.
• Implement Hazmat Management Programs in line with applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to drive best practices in transportation
• Manage value-added logistics services (e.g., same-day, job-site delivery).
