Summary:
The Psychologist will play a pivotal role in advancing the Pediatric Psycho-Oncology (PPO) Programme at CanKids KidsCan, a national NGO dedicated to transforming childhood cancer care in India. With a mission to ensure 100% Access2Care and 100% Financial Protection by 2030, aligned with the WHO GICC and Sustainable Development Goals, this role is central to delivering holistic, psychosocial support to children with cancer and their families. The Psychologist will lead the implementation of evidence-based psychological interventions across treatment phases—diagnosis, treatment, relapse, palliative care, and bereavement—through individual and group counseling, expressive therapies, child life activities, and psycho-education. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams in hospitals, clinics, and via tele-consultation, the Psychologist will contribute to building resilient families, improving quality of life, and strengthening system-level capacity. and emotional well-being for every child (0–19 years) affected by cancer in India.

Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and oversee the Pediatric Psycho-Oncology Programme (PPOP) across hospital and community settings.
Develop and refine protocols, policies, and administrative frameworks for psychological services.
Deliver psychological interventions through face-to-face, online, and telephonic platforms.
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments using standardized tools, interviews, and observational methods.
Provide individual and family counseling throughout all stages of the cancer journey.
Design and monitor personalized treatment plans, with regular follow-ups and progress tracking.
Lead and facilitate group sessions for children and parents, including Sharing & Caring Sessions.
