Job content:

Join the Punch Powertrain engineering team supporting EV, CVT, DCT, and Hybrid powertrain programs in India.
Perform drivability calibration including launch, creep, shift quality, torque coordination, tip-in/tip-out, and drive mode behavior.
Calibrate and tune transmission control strategies for CVT, DCT, EV, and Hybrid powertrains.
Execute testing on dynamometers, test benches, and vehicles (test tracks and public roads).
Analyze test data, identify issues, and drive root cause analysis and closure.
Support vehicle integration, demo builds, and calibration events.
Collaborate closely with system, software, and hardware teams.
Work with other calibration engineers to improve calibration and testing frameworks.
Document test results, calibration changes, and analysis in engineering reports.
Actively participate in training and technical skill development programs.

Your profile:

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.




6+ years of hands-on experience in transmission or electrified powertrain calibration.
Strong knowledge of vehicle drivability fundamentals and powertrain control systems.
Prior experience with CVT shift strategy or DCT clutch control calibration is highly preferred.
Experience using automotive calibration tools such as ETAS INCA, CANape, CANalyzer, or similar.
Good understanding of vehicle networks (CAN, diagnostics, signals).
Exposure to OEM / Tier-1 automotive development environments is highly preferred.
Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PERL, Java, or CAPL is a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and debug software and hardware issues.
Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and passion for learning.
Excellent team player with a desire to grow self, team, and organization.
Eager to learn, adapt, and grow within the automotive software engineering field.
