Description

The Deputy Manager / Manager – EHS is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and continuously improving the organization's Environment, Health & Safety Management System to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, corporate standards and industry best practices. The role is responsible for fostering a proactive safety culture while ensuring environmentally sustainable manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. EHS Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement the plant EHS strategy aligned with business objectives and corporate EHS policies.
Establish annual EHS goals, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Integrate EHS requirements into recent projects, process changes, and plant expansion.
Monitor EHS performance and present periodic reports to Plant Management and Corporate EHS.
Drive a proactive safety culture and promote operational excellence.
2. Safety Management
Establish, implement,



and monitor comprehensive occupational health and safety programs across the manufacturing facility.
Conduct Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Process Risk Assessments, and Environmental Aspect & Impact Assessments.
Develop and review Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work Instructions for all manufacturing processes.
Ensure effective implementation of: Permit to Work (PTW) System , Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) , Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety, Fire Safety, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, Forklift & Material Handling Equipment Safety, Crane & Lifting Operations
Monitor contractor safety, PPE compliance, shop-floor inspections, safety audits, and Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives.
Ensure safe operations across machining, winding, painting, powder coating, assembly, testing, utilities, warehouses, and maintenance.
