Job Description

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings of UAV components and systems.
Ensure adherence to design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the product development process.
Conduct feasibility studies and analyse design concepts to optimise performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to provide technical support and resolve design-related issues during the production phase.
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve the overall quality and reliability of UAV designs.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in UAV technology and CAD software to enhance design capabilities and efficiency.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior CAD engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.




Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors to evaluate new components and materials for integration into UAV designs.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements

Pursuing or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field
5+ years of experience in CAD engineering, with a focus on drone design
Candidates must have solid fundamentals in the following areas: Aerodynamics, Aircraft Structures, Composite Manufacturing
An abundance of patience to see a complicated project to the end
Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner
Software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA & NX
Must have knowledge of DFM
Knowledge of Matlab/Python is preferred
