Purpose of Role

To manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion, delivering a high quality, efficient, and client-focused service while contributing to the continued growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions including: – Sales and purchases – Remortgages – Transfers of title – New build purchases
Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients in a timely manner
Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
Draft, review, and negotiate missives
Ensure compliance with Law Society of Scotland standards and AML requirements
Maintain accurate file records and case management systems
Contribute to business development and maintaining client relationships
Support and supervise junior team members where appropriate





Person Specification

Essential

Qualified Solicitor in Scotland (NQ–5+ PQE)
Experience handling residential conveyancing transactions independently
Robust knowledge of Scottish conveyancing practice and procedures
Excellent client care and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Desirable

Experience of rural property transactions
Familiarity with case management systems
Interest in business development and networking
