Position: Student Welfare Officer
Department: Student Welfare / Administration
Reports To: Principal / Vice Principal / Management

Job Purpose

The Student Welfare Officer will serve as a key point of contact between students, faculty, and management, ensuring effective communication, student support, welfare, discipline, and overall student engagement. The role involves addressing student concerns, facilitating resolution of issues, coordinating student clubs and committees, and creating a positive and supportive campus environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Student–Faculty–Management Coordination

- Act as a mediator and communication link between students, teachers, and management.
- Listen to student concerns, grievances, and suggestions and facilitate appropriate resolution.
- Coordinate with faculty and management to address academic, administrative, behavioural, and welfare-related concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student matters professionally.

2. Student Counselling & Support

- Counsel and guide students on academic, personal, behavioural, and campus-related concerns.
- Identify students requiring additional support and refer them to appropriate counsellors or authorities when necessary.
- Conduct regular student interactions and feedback sessions to understand student needs.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, respectful, and supportive campus environment.

3. Clubs & Committees

- Establish, coordinate, and monitor student clubs, societies, and committees.
- Encourage student participation in co-curricular, extracurricular, cultural, social, and leadership activities.
- Coordinate with faculty coordinators and student representatives for smooth functioning of clubs and committees.
- Maintain records of activities, meetings, participation, and achievements.

4. Notices & Communication

- Draft and circulate student-related notices, circulars, announcements,



and official communications.
- Ensure timely communication of important information to students.
- Coordinate with relevant departments for dissemination of academic, administrative, event, and welfare-related information.

5. Student Welfare Activities

- Plan and coordinate student welfare initiatives, awareness programmes, orientation sessions, and engagement activities.
- Support initiatives related to student wellbeing, discipline, safety, inclusivity, and campus engagement.
- Collect and analyse student feedback and recommend improvements to management.

6. Grievance & Discipline Management

- Receive and document student grievances and ensure that concerns are directed to the appropriate authority.
- Assist in resolving student-related conflicts and disciplinary matters in coordination with management and faculty.
- Maintain proper documentation and follow institutional policies and procedures.

7. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain records of student grievances, counselling interactions, clubs, committees, meetings, and welfare activities.
- Prepare periodic reports on student welfare activities and concerns for management review.
- Support audits, inspections, accreditation, and institutional documentation related to student welfare.
