- Manage end-to-end purchase and procurement activities for the Hot Rolling Mill.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of reliable and cost-effective vendors.
- Float enquiries, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate prices and commercial terms.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid production stoppage due to material shortages.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Accounts and Management for purchase requirements.
- Analyze market trends and price fluctuations to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and coordinate with Stores to avoid overstocking and stock-outs.
- Maintain proper purchase records, vendor data, quotations, and procurement reports.
- Ensure procurement is carried out as per company policies, approved budgets and authorization procedures.
- Lead cost reduction, alternate sourcing and vendor development initiatives.
- Prefer candidate who have 8+ years of experience in steel industry only
