- Proven experience as a copy editor or in a similar role
- Exceptional editing and proofreading skills
- Thorough understanding of grammar, punctuation, and AP or other style guides
- Solid attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred
