Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
The Purchasing Agent/Buyer is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, goods, and services required for manufacturing operations. This role involves ensuring quality standards are met, negotiating favorable contracts, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to prevent production delays.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management: Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery timelines. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key vendors.
Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
Procurement Process: Prepare and process purchase orders (POs)
and track their status to ensure timely delivery of materials. Resolve any shipment errors or invoice discrepancies with suppliers and the accounts department.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast demand and prevent material shortages or overstock situations.
Cost Analysis: Conduct market research and analyze spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and report on purchasing performance metrics.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all procured items and suppliers comply with company policies, industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and regulatory requirements.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
