To prepare accurate costing and quotations for printing and packaging jobs by analysing materials, production processes, labour and other applicable costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Study customer requirements, specifications, quantity, size and finishing requirements.
- Prepare accurate job costing and quotations.
- Calculate raw material requirements, wastage and consumables.
- Calculate process-wise costs including printing, lamination, UV, foiling, die cutting, punching, pasting and other finishing processes.
- Consider labour, machine, packing and other applicable costs.
- Coordinate with Sales, Designing, Production, Stores and Purchase departments.
- Collect and maintain updated material and process rates.
- Revise costing/quotations based on changes in job requirements.
- Maintain quotation and costing records.
- Compare estimated cost with actual production cost when required.
- Report costing issues or unusual requirements to the concerned manager.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of printing and packaging processes.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Good mathematical and analytical skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma/Degree preferred.
- 2+years of experience in estimation/costing, preferably in printing, packaging or manufacturing.
- Relevant industry experience will be an advantage.
