Role Overview

We are looking for a Python Backend Developer with Machine Learning experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs. The role involves integrating machine learning models into backend services, developing efficient data pipelines, optimizing database operations, and supporting the deployment and performance of AI/ML solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong Python backend development skills along with a practical understanding of Machine Learning model integration, inference, deployment, and optimization.

Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs following industry-standard API design principles.
- Work with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access layers.
- Develop and maintain data processing and integration pipelines.
- Implement authentication, authorization, validation, logging, and data security mechanisms.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application and production issues.
- Monitor backend application performance and identify areas for optimization.

Machine Learning Integration

- Integrate trained Machine Learning models into backend applications and APIs.
- Implement model inference services for real-time or batch predictions.
- Work with ML libraries and frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to deploy and operationalize trained models.
- Optimize model inference performance, latency, and resource utilization.
- Support model deployment, monitoring, versioning, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot issues related to model integration and inference pipelines.





Deployment & Infrastructure

- Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker.
- Work with Linux-based environments and shell scripting.
- Support application deployment and configuration across development, testing, and production environments.
- Assist in monitoring application health, performance, and availability.
- Follow secure and reliable software deployment practices.

Required SkillsBackend Development

- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Good understanding of REST APIs and API design principles.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Knowledge of NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB or Redis.
- Experience developing and working with scalable backend applications.
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Good understanding of Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.

Machine Learning

- Basic to intermediate understanding of Machine Learning concepts and workflows.
- Hands-on experience with one or more ML libraries/frameworks such as:
- Scikit-learn
- TensorFlow
- PyTorch
- Ability to integrate trained ML models into backend applications.
- Understanding of model inference and prediction APIs.
- Basic understanding of model performance optimization and deployment.
- Ability to work effectively with AI/ML engineers.

Good to Have

- Experience deploying ML models in production environments.




- Knowledge of ML model serving frameworks or inference optimization.
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming in Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with message queues or event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of data processing technologies and ETL/data pipeline concepts.
- Experience working with AI-powered web applications or computer vision solutions.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience and demonstrated technical skills may be considered in lieu of specific educational qualifications.
