Job Title: Site In-charge

Department: Site Operations

Reports To: Director

Location: [Plant / Mine Site — Raipur / Indrawatipur, Chhattisgarh]

Peer Role: Production In-charge (parallel; no reporting line between the two)

Experience: 4–5 years

1. Role Summary

The Site In-charge holds overall charge of the site outside of the production process itself. The role is responsible for keeping hired equipment running, managing site supervisors and general manpower, executing civil and infrastructure works, and acting as the company's local interface with authorities, villagers, and vendors. The Production In-charge owns the process and output; the Site In-charge owns everything that keeps the site operational and enables production to run smoothly. The two roles operate as equals, each accountable to the Director for their respective areas.

2. Key Responsibilities

Hired Equipment & Site Operations

- Ensure all hired equipment (excavators, tippers, loaders, etc.) is available and running as per plan; track uptime, breakdowns, and idle time.
- Coordinate with equipment contractors on deployment, repairs, and replacements; verify running hours and diesel against the register before certifying bills.
- Escalate chronic underperformance and renegotiate or replace non-performing contractors.

Supervisor & Manpower Management

- Manage site supervisors (civil, general, and contract labour) — allocation, discipline, attendance, and day-to-day coordination.
- Ensure adequate manpower is arranged and deployed for all non-production site needs.

Civil & Infrastructure Works

- Plan and execute civil works — roads, drains, foundations, sheds, embankments, and general site development.
- Supervise civil contractors on quality, timelines,

and measurement/billing.

Local LiaisonIng

- Act as first point of contact with local authorities (SDM, Pollution Control Board, panchayat, police), surrounding villages, and transporters.
- Handle grievances, permissions, and routine compliance interfaces; keep the Director informed of anything sensitive.
- Maintain goodwill with the local community and pre-empt issues before they escalate.

General

- Take on ad-hoc infrastructure and support tasks that enable smooth production, without owning production itself.
- Maintain site records, registers, and reports relevant to the above areas.

3. Out of Scope

The following rest solely with the Production In-charge and are explicitly outside the Site In-charge's accountability: the production process, output and grade targets, product quality, and process manpower.

4. Requirements

- 4–5 years of experience in mining, plant, or industrial site operations, with hands-on exposure to civil works and contractor management.
- Demonstrated local liaisoning ability; comfort dealing with district authorities and rural communities. Knowledge of the Chhattisgarh region and local language is a strong plus.
- Diploma or degree in Civil or Mining Engineering preferred; a strong practical background may be accepted in lieu.
- Firm people-management and vendor-negotiation skills.

5. Authority & Interfaces

- Holds authority over site supervisors, contract labour, and equipment/civil contractors.
- Coordinates as an equal with the Production In-charge; any dispute between the two is escalated to the Director for resolution.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Advantages:

- Cell phone reimbursement
- Flexible schedule
- Food provided

Work Location: In person
