Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with strong expertise in NestJS and

Node.js to build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal

candidate should have hands-on experience in designing microservices, RESTful APIs,

database architecture, cloud deployment, and modern backend engineering practices.

You will work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and product

managers to deliver robust enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

● Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using NestJS and

Node.js.

● Build clean, modular, reusable, and maintainable server-side applications following

SOLID principles.

● Develop RESTful APIs and backend services for web and mobile applications.

● Implement authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth2, Passport.js, and

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

● Develop middleware, guards, interceptors, pipes, exception filters, and custom

decorators in NestJS.

● Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

API Development & Integration

● Design, develop, and document RESTful APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger.

● Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, messaging services, and external

platforms.

● Build secure API authentication, validation, rate limiting, and request throttling.

● Maintain API versioning and backward compatibility.

Database Development

● Design efficient database schemas and relationships.

● Work extensively with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.

● Optimize SQL queries, indexing, transactions, and database performance.

● Use TypeORM, Prisma, or Sequelize ORM effectively.

● Develop migration scripts and manage database versioning.

Microservices & System Architecture





● Design and develop microservices using NestJS.

● Build event-driven and distributed systems.

● Implement asynchronous communication using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis Pub/Sub.

● Design scalable backend architecture capable of handling high traffic.

● Apply caching strategies using Redis.

Cloud & DevOps

● Deploy applications on AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS,

CloudWatch, and IAM.

● Build and maintain Docker containers.

● Work with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

● Troubleshoot production issues and monitor application health.

Testing & Code Quality

● Write clean, maintainable, and testable TypeScript code.

● Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest.

● Conduct code reviews and follow coding standards.

● Maintain high code coverage and application reliability.

Collaboration

● Work closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and product

managers.

● Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups,

retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

● Contribute to technical documentation and architectural discussions.

● Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

● 4–6 years of professional backend development experience.

● Strong hands-on experience with NestJS (Mandatory).

● Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.

● Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.

● Strong understanding of:

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience building Microservices architecture.

● Experience with GraphQL is a plus.

● Experience with WebSockets or Socket.IO.

● Knowledge of Kubernetes is an advantage.

● Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code is a plus.

● Understanding of CQRS and Event-Driven Architecture.

● Experience working in high-scale production environments.
